About Us

Iron Age Athletics is dedicated to helping people over 50 thrive, with an emphasis on promoting longevity habits.

Of all the pieces to the longevity puzzle, there are four that we can more easily control or work into our daily lives: weight/strength training, aerobic training, nutrition and sleep. This will be the driving force to most of our content.

Philosophically, we believe that 100% is easy. We turn that belief into action with our “3 Things Every Day” habit stacking tactic – which is the centerpiece to a lifestyle of discipline and getting things done.

And finally, we believe in connecting with others – in creating a community that wants to share their journey through this Iron Age – and more importantly – help each other along the way.

Our ultimate goal at Iron Age Athletics is to help people Thrive (in all areas of their lives), while living longer with a higher quality of life.

My thriving starts with fitness and spreads out from there. When I am fit – I feel I can do anything and be anything – as if I have no limits. When I am feeling lean, clean and clear my confidence is high, I am calm and purposeful, and I can move my passions forward with enthusiasm.

I am positive and forward thinking.

In my Iron Age, that is a magical place to be. And I know continuing on this path will extend my health span so I can live longer with a higher quality of life.

How It Started

It all started a number of years ago when a few friends and I started texting our workouts to each other – mainly for accountability – but also for inspiration and motivation.

Since those early days, we have committed to exercising every day (#nodaysoff) and the group has grown to be an inclusive and supportive community of people who inspire and motivate each other, hold each other accountable and share so much more than daily workouts.

It is one of the most powerful things in my life.

It has been such a wonderful experience for all of us – we wondered what it might be like if other Iron Agers could experience this kind of support and community.

With that thought, Iron Age Athletics was born.
