Everything is Relevant
After hearing and reading so many smart, insightful thoughts this week, then thinking about how they relate to my role as CMO at Ultralife – I was reminded, once again, that everything is relevant – if you want it to be.
When I listen to podcasts or read books … and you get those little nuggets of truth or insightfulness – no matter the topic – I always try to see how they might apply to the work I’m doing at Ultralife (or my life at home).
This week it was a quote from Katie Couric on the Rich Roll podcast, a slew of insights from the book “A CEO for All Seasons” and a few more quotes from “The Cyber Defense Review” featuring Lt. Gen. Jeth B. Rey.
It doesn’t matter the topic or the context – there is always an opportunity think how this might apply to my world. And in that sense, everything really is relevant – as a learning tool. That’s how I like to think about the information overload … there probably is something relevant here if I think about it in the right way.
That’s just one way I try to keep an open mind. To always be learning – and applying.
What nugget did you think about this week – and how it might be applied to your work or home life?
