I’ve been thinking a lot about conversations lately.

The great ones. The necessary ones. The timely ones.

The ones about strategy, people, execution, cashflow, etc.

The ones that charge you up, challenge you, surprise you, move you forward….

Who are you having them with?

I bet most of them are one to one. With the colleagues you like, trust and admire. It’s easy with them. And they need to keep happening.

But as a leader … as part of a leadership team, those conversations can not only exist in one to one settings.

They need to happen at your leadership table.

In fact the necessary ones, the timely ones, the hardest ones – those need to happen there. With that group. In that dynamic.

It’s the only way to drive outcomes that matter.

All those individual conversations are great. But are they driving change and outcomes … the big changes and outcomes that only that group make happen?

I read somewhere that most relationships can handle more Truth than you think.

Same applies to your leadership team.

They can handle it. You can handle it.

Might be you who can make it happen.
